Quality of Touch: Conversations in Sensation Workshop ~ THIS WORKSHOP CENTERS ON THE QUESTION "WHAT IS TOUCH?" How do you stay centered on physical sensation when giving and receiving touch? How does that attention inform your communication or inspiration with various partners?
Approaching any type of physical partnership requires clear communication. Along with verbal consent, sending and receiving physical signals is one of the ways we tell our partners what we like and do not like, what feels safe, and what does not, and through connecting in this way we can open channels of inspiration between one another. This workshop employs discussion, brainstorming, and hands on exercises. We will practice consensual communication during this class, and outline personal boundaries clearly with one another during explorations.
For our most intimate explorations you will be paired with your registration partner (you do not have to be in a 'relationship' with this person, just bring someone you feel comfortable exploring physical touch with, participants will remain clothed). Before that point we'll be switching partners and working with others in class for some of the more basic exercises. Wear clothing that is loose and comfortable to move around in.
* Partner Registration Required* / $80 Per Couple +$5 service fee (Register once for two people)
* Each Person please bring a yoga mat, blanket or towel for floor work, and wear loose clothing that is comfortable to move in
